Seiwa Corporation was founded by the name of Maekawa Gear Cutting
Co., and started gear manufacturing in 1919. Then, putting our
technology and experience to use, we started development of high-rigidity
and user-friendly hobbing machines in 1929 and introduced the
MH-600 gear hobbing machine to the market in 1933.
As for grinding machines, we first put the SHG-16 manual-type
hob gash grinding machine on the market in 1965 and then, its
fully automatic type in 1970. Also, we succeeded in development
of a CNC type SAN-20 in 1984, which has indicated an excellent
track record so far.
During that period of time, we have also developed and sold a
variety of hobbing machines, such as high-productivity type and
fully automatic type, which are now used and highly regarded by
many customers.
In 1990, we developed the SG-25S high-rigidity gear honing machine,
which is now used by major Japanese and U.S. automobile manufacturers,
as well as a large number of automobile parts manufacturers.
In 1995, we developed SX- series ultrahigh rigidity 6-axis CNC
gear hobbing machines, many of which have been delivered to major
automobile manufacturers (and related manufacturers) and industrial
machinery manufacturers in Japan, U.S.A., Taiwan, Korea, India
and Australia.
For further development of gear manufacturing technology, we
perform practical and theoretical analyses in partnership with
Matsue Technical College, Shimane University, and Shimane Industrial
Technology Center.
Seiwa is continuously pursuing technological leaps and new process
development in the field of gear manufacturing.
